Description
Saxenda contains the active substance Liraglutide. It is similar to a natural occurring hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that is released from the intestine after a meal.

The other ingredients are disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, phenol, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and water for injections.
Saxenda is supplied as a clear and colourless or almost colourless solution for injection in a prefilled pen. Each pen contains 3 ml solution
